About
Hi, I'm Jaime Devins. I received my Master's of Social Work from the University of Southern Maine in 2016 and am an independently licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. I also have a background in art and have worked extensively over the last 15 years serving children, teens, adults, and elders in various settings including schools, day treatment and outpatient treatment settings, and in clients' homes and communities in a variety of roles.
I have experience in mindfulness, attachment, trauma, individual and family therapy, and relationship issues. I draw from modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, the model ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency), and Energy Psychology. I'm working on completing my EMDR Basic Training with Kase & Co. and I've completed Janina Fisher's Trauma Treatment Certification Training (CCTP). I've also completed the Rational Living Therapy Level-One Certification (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy). I've had the privilege of studying Polyvagal Theory with Deb Dana in my graduate coursework.
In my free time I like having my own self-care like practicing Qi Gong, spending time in nature, working on creative projects, hiking, cooking, traveling, and seeing friends and family.

About Telehealth
Telehealth offers the ability to meet for therapy in your home, at work, or even outdoors. Because of this, many of my clients are accessing therapy when they might not have taken this step for themselves. Telehealth is not intended for those who are in crisis or for those with diagnoses that require a higher level of care, such as hospitalization. I'm a provider who believes in working collaboratively with your other providers and specialists. From this approach, following your team of provider's recommendations is essential to positive treatment outcomes. Due to licensing requirements, I can only meet with you if you're located in Maine or Massachusetts. Contact me to see if online counseling is a good fit for you.
If you are experiencing an emergency, please contact an emergency hotline like the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, call 911, or go to your local emergency room. |
